It is a very good option for any kind of trip experiecnce. The price is ok for what you get. The brealfast is very good and so is the location, close to many attractions in Manhathann and New York City. The personel is always welling to help you.

Warm greeting, welcome note and water/snack upon arrival provided good start to experience. Small room with small window and low ceiling didn't come as huge surprise but would've liked a teeny bit more head/breathing room. Had housekeeping issue with bed linens that weren't [properly] cleaned; front desk agent on duty wasn't as helpful as I'd hoped but situation eventually resolved to my satisfaction by empathetic assistant manager (at least I think he was - he handled it in an effective, decisive, managerial manner). Once finally dealt with, bed was soft but still very comfortable, as has been my experience with Hampton Inn. Breakfast area not as bad as some have reviewed; it is smallish but well laid out, with various booths and bar/counter seating along with an assembly line layout for the food that is well broken up into multiple stations. I have been to many similarly sized hotels with smaller breakfast areas that were much smaller and/or less efficiently arranged. As with many properties if this ilk, the two overwhelmed elevators were on the slow side. All in all though, if I had a reason to stay in this neighborhood I would return. I may not come back based purely on it's other merits alone.

This hotel was in a great location for seeing different sights in New York. It was very clean and served delicious breakfasts. My family would stay here again if we are in the area. The hotel staff was very friendly.

After a hard day of work and a 3 hour delay of our flight, being received with a smile and happy staff was a welcomed sight. Staff took care of my luggage while it was time for the check-in, offered us water, coffee, juice, and we were able to go to NYC attractions. Back to the hotel we were greeted by my last name and check-in could not being more easy. My complements to the Staff and Manager. Your attention to details is what makes you my choice on my next trip.

Very central location. Easy access to subway and midtown sites. Breakfast provided and good. Room comfortable. Construction going on next door so can be noisy in the early morning if you want to sleep past 7am.

I have booked this hotel on several occasions for business due to proximity to Javits Center and central location in mid-town Manhattan. Finalizing adjustments within the cancellation period this time meant a huge bump in the daily rate. The staff - front desk & management - were not willing to offer a compromise to a 1 night cancellation on 2 out of the 7 reservations held for 3-night stays. As a result, cancelling worked great as did finding better accommodations at a better rate for our 7 rooms this year. We will not be returning to this hotel with the small rooms, small breakfast area and non-compromising staff on their treatment to return guests. Otherwise, location and overall accommodations were average for NYC. Go across the river to Weehawken for larger rooms and a 5-minute ferry ride into the Javits Center!

We stayed here Sept 25-29, 2013. The hotel was nice and clean; easily accessible either by a short bus, subway or taxi ride or within walking distance to many of the sites we wanted to visit---Minskoff Theater, Empire State Bldg,, Statue of Liberty, Metropolitan Museum, Ground Zero etc. The breakfasts each morning were very good with an excellent selection of foods & good fresh hot coffee in a nice clean restaurant.

The staff was absolutely wonderful. One evening around midnight, after a long day of sightseeing, one of clerks overheard me say how much I would LOVE to have a glass of cold milk with the cookies they were offering at the front desk. They immediately asked if I would like for them to go into their kitchen, which was closed, and get me a glass of milk. They didn't even charge me for it. They were also very helpful whenever we asked for anything.

If you are looking for a nice clean, small hotel without many frills but a great, helpful staff, then this is the hotel for you. I highly recommend it.
