“Beautifully appointed minimalist room - amazing ny crossroads location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013 via mobile

This was my first - but not my last- experience with European style hotel in NY. Very quiet room. Beautiful, minimalist room- maybe 2' space around queen ultra comfy bed. Best part was deciding where to walk to- little Italy, Chinatown , SOHO all starting within 1 block. A walkers/ eaters paradise. Staff helpful and friendly.

only a one night stay but the hotel was in the right location, the parking was close and cheap-ish ($38), and even though i was expecting the worse (from some reviews), i was pleasantly surprised. my room and bath were clean, the bed was comfy and the TV worked (although no Comedy Central......really, Solita Soho?). as for the noise, i travel with a smallish fan (hot flashes, people!) that is loud enough to create white noise, so i didn't hear a thing!

Room Tip: i can't remember what room i was in.

Hello and thank you for reviewing our hotel as we apprecaite all guest feedback and as it is the best tool we have to measure our standing in all aspects of the guests stay. I am glad you found the accomodations suited your needs throughout your stay. Most all of our reviews on Trip Advisor are very positive so I am glad you based your pre conceptions on them. Of course we strive each day to make every guest happy and provide the best possible experience we can. However that is not always the case as some have much different expectations as others. However as noted overall 95% of our guests are very happy and satisfied with their stay here. The staff and I are delighted that you are one of them and look forward to having you back in the future. For the record I am working on additional channels to add to our current selection and thank you very much for the suggestion as comedy central is most definitely on the list along with ESPN. Thanks again for the review and we look forward to seeing you again!

Kind Regards,

Andrew Brogdon

The Solita Soho Hotel was in a great location for us and the hotel was clean. This was my first visit to the Big Apple, and we enjoyed walking the area. I did hear the subway a lot and there was construction going on, but its New York City--what do you expect? The air conditioner worked great, the rooms were clean and small, and we didn't hear anyone else on our floor unless they were catching the elevator.

Room Tip: Get a room on the upper floors if you can. Cuts down on the street noise.

Thank you kindly for reviewing our hotel. We appreciate the positive feedback and understanding of the noise level. Although a certain level of noise is expected in NYC something the city has work going on that can add to the already loud city in general. Luckily the construction is wrapping up. However the subway noise is something that just comes with the turf. I am glad you found the location, hotel and service to your liking and I do hope you return to stay with us in the future. Thanks again for the kind review as I have shared with the staff and we are all delighted you enjoyed your stay. Thanks again and see you again soon!

We received excellent service at the Solita Soho Hotel. The location was great- just a few steps to Little Italy and Chinatown. We even had a view of the Empire State Building from our room! Great value for the money.

This is a small dingy hotel in the middle of Soho tucked within China Town and Little Italy. By New York standard, this one is overpriced for location and room facilities which are at the most basic. There is hardly any place to move in the room except sleep. Staff presence is minimal and interactions are cold. This hotel is relatively close to Canary Street subway station which in turn connects you to downtown Manhattan, Brooklyn etc.

The hotel is nice and clean. Rooms are small but this is NYC! Location is good - in the heart of Soho, close to Canal Street(Chinatown) and Little Italy. It was a bit noisy as construction is going on in front of the hotel, but during the night is was ok.

Good day and thank you for reviewing our hotel. Guest feedback is by far the most important tool we have in measuring our ability to provide a positive experience for each guest. I do apologize for the construction noise taking place in front of the hotel. Luckily most days we do not have that distraction, however I do apologize for any inconvenience this caused during your stay. Thank you for the otherwise great review and we look forward to having you back as a guest.

Room is for no more than two people since beds are full sized. Few days before n during our stay main hotel phone did not work. Ok place to sleep as beds were comfortable. Staff unfriendly. Would not stay again unless broke.
