“lovely food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2010

Went here the first night we got to New York so didn't really do them justice as very tired after travelling all day, they fitted us in even though busy and were very pleasant and attentive. As I said we only stayed for the main course, I had the Salmon with creamed spinach which tasted great, Others in our party had the steak or chicken which everyone enjoyed.

“Park Avenue Bistro was very good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2010

This restaurant was very good. The food was fresh and well presented. The service was prompt. It is a bit cramped there, but overall a good experience.

“great meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2010

This restaurant is part of the Smith & Wollensky chain, but something much more. Each season they apparently change the decor as well as the menu. We were there last week for the Park Avenue Summer venue. Wonderful food, ambiance, service, and wine list. Expensive, but not more than most other nice NYC restaurants. If you stay on the upper East side this is well worth it.

“Missing Service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2010

I tried PAB for the first time in several years. It's moved across the street to a narrow but ligh and airy space. It is much more attractive than before. My salad and steak were very good and reasonably priced. Indeed, the whole experience would have been quite good BUT FOR terrible serivce from the first moment. We arrived on time or perhaps 5 minutes late but had to sit before being shown to our table. No one could even take our coats. I assumed our table was still occupied. But no. It was just that no one was authorized to seat us. So, ok....But wait, there's more. Our wait person was slow to attend to us. We ordered a bottle of water to drink. 30 minutes after we had arrived still no bottle. By my watch it was 45 minutes after we arrived before any food arrived. No bread, no nothing. I would try the restaurant again, but not with hesitation. The french fries (touted by the restaurant) ARE very good.

“This is a real review!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2009

We stumbled across this restaurant while just looking for a place to eat. It was amazing! the atmosphere is very chic and romantic. the service was top notch and the food was delicious. My fiancee had the crispy duck and he was drooling over it. Also had the molten lava chocolate cake for dessert. I would recommend this place to anyone. the only thing I would change was their choice of music, which we didn't feel went well with the atmosphere.
