My daughter previously lived in the neighborhood and we have walked by countless restaurants with outdoor sitting and try to explore new places. We reviewed the outdoor menu at PR primarily looking at price and then went on and checked out some more menus. We came back to PR and were pleasantly surprised, with the great lunch food, wonderful service at for a midwestern what I thought was a resonable price. We had the Fettuccine Pomodoro, Spaghetti al Gamberoni and the Focaccia con Sogliola each for $13 or less. All of our meals were more then we could eat, but some of us had to finish them and they tasted oustanding. I had the Fish Sandwich and there was a lot of fish and a great guacamole sauce that I put on the fish and my sandwich. Marcia was outstanding and brought water and the delicisous bread once we sat down. It was a beautiful Thursday afternoon and no one rushed us to leave our coveted sidewalk location with the interesting people watching on Columbus street. Someone (who is suspect as someone else commented was the manager/owner) was asking everyone how things were and greeted a couple of customers by name, so you know it is a place that the locals go to. This is why I enjoy exploring new places, especially in NYC, because everyone else says it is so expensive.
