Description: Our highly anticipated second Rosa Mexicano location opened in July 2000. Just steps away from Lincoln Center, this impressive David Rockwell-designed space features a 30-foot iridescent blue tile water wall that spans both levels of the restaurant and is adorned with 240 miniature cliff divers. Here you’ll also find a dramatic “floating” staircase made of orange and red terrazzo slabs and backlit panels behind the bar embedded with rose petals. Awarded “Best Restaurant 2000” by Interiors Magazine, this unique, contemporary look ushered in a new era for us at Rosa Mexicano.

“Great spot!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

We ate here during our recent trip and enjoyed it very much! Tableside prepared guacamole was excellent, as well as Sangria and Margaritas.

We had the Alhambra Grill and Braised beef and both entrees were terrific. This is our first trip to this Rosa in NYC and we like this location better than the one on 1st. It's much brighter and much livelier, although the noise level was somewhat high.

I regretted that I ate too much food to have dessert!!

“Disapointed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013 via mobile

Our first time in NY and we really fancied a nice Mexican meal. We thought this fitted the bill, he seemed busy which is a good sign but it wasnt.
The food was luke warm and bland despite being listed as spicy, it simply was awful. The service was reasonable but this place isnt cheap and certainly not worth the money. The cocktails were expensive and too strong.

“A very pleasant experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2013

The place was very crowded but nonetheless enjoyable. Good service. We loved the guacamole prepared at the table. Some of the dishes were a bit on the heavy side as Mexican food can be, but the ribs were outstanding. We would definitely go back.

“Best guacamole ever!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Being from Texas i was looking for a good margarita and that's just what i found. It was good but not spectacular! But the guacamole made up for it. Made at the table and i could have just ate that for my meal. The food was different from the Tex-Mex i'm used to but all in all it was good.
