Description: Our highly anticipated second Rosa Mexicano location opened in July 2000. Just steps away from Lincoln Center, this impressive David Rockwell-designed space features a 30-foot iridescent blue tile water wall that spans both levels of the restaurant and is adorned with 240 miniature cliff divers. Here you’ll also find a dramatic “floating” staircase made of orange and red terrazzo slabs and backlit panels behind the bar embedded with rose petals. Awarded “Best Restaurant 2000” by Interiors Magazine, this unique, contemporary look ushered in a new era for us at Rosa Mexicano.

“Muy Bueno!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

Start of with the guacamole made tableside - so start with delicious and move up from there! The food was delicious and the services was wonderful. Making a reservation online was a breeze as we were there for the opera and needed to be pretty specific about time. The decor is cool too with a waterwall and hundreds of tiny cliff divers on it. The braised ribs were like "buttah" and the burritos were absolutely delicious. Again, be sure and make a reservation as a couple of people ahead of us were trying to come in without one and were waiting up to an hour, but with a reservation seating was smooth. A menu of specialty margaritas was a nice addition too (just disappointed that they were frozen). Bon appetito!

“Good Mexican in the heart of Manhattan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

Great Mexican just up from Union Square. Good buzz early on a Friday evening and great food. Have the Guacamole to start, they make it fresh at your table.

“Guacamole and Pomegranate Margaritas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

are excellent! Fortunately or unfortunately, this place is right in my neighborhood. The bar is small and gets packed fast and there is just a little outdoor seating, but the restaurant dining room itself is tremendous as they have additional seating upstairs. Food is good and the price is relative to Lincoln Center.

“Best mexican ever”

Hype Restaurant with great price. To start, order guacamole, which is prepared next to the table. The duck enchilada is outstanding.

“Lunch was very good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

I went for lunch this week. It was empty, despite that the receptionist took me to the absolute back of the restaurant, corner. I was surprised, sat down and there was an arctic blst from the AC duct above. I go up and found a better table on my own as she seemed too busy to bother. nevertheless, the food was good, and the young Mexican waiter was young kind, polite and serious. I had mole enchiladas with barbecued goat. Excellent. the sides were refried bean paste and a nice rice. there were two salsa with the chips, a red pepper one full of roasted flavor and a green tomatillo, deep, rich and sweet. I had a Mexican Olla coffe with the creme on the side. it was very good. Clearly the food is excellent and best when its not crazy busy.
