“Ippudo Westside doesn't disappoint”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

I've been a longtime customer of the Ippudo LES and was worried I'd be let down, but everything from the fast service to the great ramen was just as good as LES if not better. Look for the small red Ippudo sign!

“Nothing special and terrible service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2014

we read the Y**p reviews and so excited to try this place, got there right when they opened at 5pm and there were lots of ppl. every one in your group must be presented in order to get seated. However, our server Rader (on the receipts) she was very rude and keep pushing us order our food. We have told her we are first time here and would like some recommendation, she said"if you have questions, you can ask me", well we asked for recommendations!! And even worst, she tried to take away my soup when I haven't finish it! Will not recommend travellers waste your time to here! And it's not cheap, added $4 only got extra 2 pieces of pork!

“Inventive restaurant worth the wait”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

Every item we ordered, even simple things like edamame were presented in a way none of us had experienced. The edamame is served with Yuzu, or Japanese citrus salt. The baby octopus appetizer, bowls and the sea cucumber were all so incredible; we were having a mouth party!

I would absolutely suggest that if you want to venture outside the box in NYC, check this place out for lunch. The ambience is cool as is the staff and the food and the drink menus!

“Tasty Raman but Hide-Chan better”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Pork hirata buns were delicious as a starter. Our party of 4 had the Akamaru Modern. It was very good, especially the pork. But we all agreed that Hide-Chan made a tastier bowl of raman.

“okay food but nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013

We have been to lots of izakaya restaurants in various cities. Ippudo's is okay but nothing special. We have had much better ramen in less expensive places. Service is ridiculous rushed, even at 10 p.m. with open tables. Not worth the wait in line for table. if you really feel the need to try it just order a drink and the buns at the bar and then head out.
