Went to Delmonico's to celebrate my Birthday. The decour of the place is beautiful. A nice refreshing step back in time where the waiters are well dressed and the service is impeccable. Of course I came to have a Delmonico Steak. The steak did not disappoint, except for the dried onions on top. The onions were a weak addition to an amazing steak. We ordered several of the side dishes to complement our steaks. The roasted corn and vegetables was very good as were the oysters Brady. The king crab macaroni and cheese looked and smelled great but the cream sauce was very watery will little to no taste, luckily there were a lot of large chunks of tasty crabmeat. The desserts were wonderful. The baked Alaska is a must try. The meal itself was fantastic, minus the mac and cheese. I give Delmonico's 4 stars rather than 5 because I was extremely disappointed in the sports bar atmosphere. I am hoping this was due to the fact that it was Food week in the city. It's a shame to have such good food in such a beautiful restaurant and have it ruined by loud clapping, hooting, and, hollering and the atmosphere of a T.G.I.F.
I would still say this is a must try if you like a great steak.
