“The corn! You have to have the corn!”

Fantastic little place and was recommended by a local friend. Just have the corn, it's out of this world; best I've ever had!

“Evolving to a very un-Cuban menu”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

They still have the perfect Cuban sandwich in New York... but it's evolving to include more and more Mexican items. Best elote (grilled corn covered in cheese) in town. Long queues. Best to eat at the take out side (entrance on Elizabeth St).

“How to visit Habana without traveling one mile!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

About 4 years sgo I happened upon Cafe Habana during one of my hundreds of "walk like a tourist" walks in NYC. This restaurant is a very popular eatery for artists, models, and anyone who has been fortunate enough to discover it in the way I did. A few days ago I brought a friend and we sat at the counter, drinking the most delicious cafe con leche & amazing grilled corn. Two weeks before I
corn salad with steak and tiramasu for dessert! Always Delish!

“Get the Corn!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Everyone raves about the grilled corn and it really is that great!

As of the time of this review, the corn is about $2.50 - $3, cheap great snack if you are in the area.

There is a to-go section of the place on the side street, you can just order from there and grab it to go so you can enjoy the rest of NY and the area when you go shopping.

“Awesome Breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

We opened up the joint on a Sunday morning at 9. The waitress was super cool and had good tunes playing. I had the Chilaquiles Trucker Style and my wife had the Sloppy Pepe. Both were outstanding. Awesome food, especially if you know what to order.
