“Great food but some staff let the place down”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2014

Had been here a few years ago and enjoyed it so was was happy to go back with friends recently. We just had bar food and drinks. The food was really great and the cocktails were good. The location is obviously amazing and a great place to spend a few hours. However, there was an issue with our bill when we were paying, they initially put more onto my credit card than I had instructed (we were splitting the bill with friends). When I told them that there was a mistake, they fixed it eventually after leaving us waiting for about 10 minutes but they never apologised for their error. I absolutely accept that mistakes can and do happen but a restaurant should accept responsibility when they mess up. It definitely took the shine off a nice experience.

“what an atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2014

Love this restaurant! Can't beat dinner overlooking the architecture of Grand Central Station. We went on a Saturday evening when it is actually less crowded than it is during the week, so if you are looking for availability on a weekend, this place likely has it. Seating is mezzanine overlooking the travelers, but it is quieter than you would think. No train noise, no loudspeaker noise. A couple actually got married right below us!

Entrée portions were normal size, not American size, so be prepared for that, but there was enough food to be satisfied. Great professional staff, great food, great indoor view. Highly recommend.

“Iconic location...really nice lunch with a view...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2014

Always wanted to eat on the balcony of Grand Central Station, with a inside view of the station.
We choose Michael Jordan's and were not disappointed. The service was good and the food was really tasty. But I admit the view was the best!

“Lovely food but expensive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2014

Booked this because of the novelty of being inside grand central station. We had a great table with fab views!
Speed of service was just right.
My steak was ordered well done but was slightly under done for my liking. My husbands steaks as ordered medium and his was medium-rare. Best to order one up!!
Got enough food but did think it was expensive!! $120 for 2 steaks, bottle of water and 1 cocktail!

“Great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014 via mobile

Visited the steak house during NYC restaurant week. Preset menu was excellent, but we also ordered additional items a la carte to fully appreciate the restaurant. Food was great, service very friendly, & great atmosphere. Bar area was busy but didn't wait long for drinks. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
