Pretty standard chain restaurant but food was good, reasonably priced and service was outstanding.

“California Taco Kitchen”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2011

*This review is for their tacos. Yes Tacos.*

If you're a fan of tacos like I am and have to try them wherever you go then give the Korean BBQ Steak Tacos a shot when you're at CPK. They're on the small cravings menu and definitely only a small portion (2 relatively small tacos) but what they lack in size they make up for in flavor. The steak itself has great korean bbq taste, cabbage, lettuce, onions, scallions and cilantro back it up well, topped with an awesome spicy chili sauce, all wrapped properly in two corn tortillas. What a surprise it was to find these.

“Better Than Some Italian Restaurants”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2011

I like CPK.

I know its a chain, etc but i think the food is really good.

I almost always order spaghetti bolognese and it is better than I get in most Italian restaurants.

I was there tonight and there must have been a party of 40 people or more at pushed together tables and it did not interfere with people being served. The service was prompt and courteous as always.

The restaurant does feel more like a high-end pizza parlor than a restaurant. There is nothing intimate about it. It is good food and efficient service.

“Disappointed but manager made up for it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2010

We had tried to go to Serendipity 3 right down the street, just for the frozen hot chocolate, but the wait was too long, so we went to CPK instead. It was about 4 in the afternoon and we were seated right away. we just wanted appetizers and something cold to drink, which seemed to cause the waiter to lose interest in us. He took our order in a timely manner but we had to ask for napkins, then utensils. He did check on us while we were there, and the food was excellent - we had the spinach artichoke dip, avocado club egg rolls, and a combo of the tortilla spring rolls, all yummy. When my husband got the check he handed the waiter a credit card, but when the waiter returned with the slip to sign, it was for a higher amount. My husband questioned it and the waiter apologized and said he'd take care of it. Lo and behold, BOTH amounts were charged to the card. Very annoying. When we returned home he called the restaurant and spoke with the manager, Nettie, who checked and saw that a credit had been done on the wrong amount but hadn't hit our online statement yet. She was extremely apologetic and concerned about our impression of this restaurant, and because she didn't want us to have a bad taste in our mouth for CPK (no pun intended) she actually reimbursed us for the meal. That was a very pleasant surprise, and based on the fact that she was that sure this was a one time thing, I would go back again. Prices were good.
