Even sitting at the bar to eat, as we did, the atmosphere was terrific, but this paled into insignificance compared with the quality of the food. We had pasta and fish. The succulent fresh bass was set off by an incredible sweet corn sauce - literally one of the best fish dishes I have ever tasted. The rainbow trout tasted like it had been caught that hour and could have been served alone with no accompaniments, that is how well cooked it was. The paccheri pasta was beautifully cooked. We sat next to two Italians who said the pasta dishes at this restaurant were the most authentic Italian food they knew in the city.
The wine list is extensive but not overpriced.
The service is warm and friendly.
Highly highly recommended.
