“The best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

This is one of the places you HAVE to visit if you are in Times Square. We were tempted to just go to Applebees since it is right next door, but bad reviews changed our minds. John's Pizzeria was FABulous! It used to be a church and the stained glass, layout and ambiance is amazing. The prices are so reasonable...no more than you would expect to pay at a mediocre pizza place. Gotta go!

“Super well priced pizza”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

Loved the pizza here. Building use to be a church so was beautiful. Definitely get the garlic rolls and go early because seems to fill up quickly. Best pizza and very fresh ingrediants.

“Great pizza”

Good brick-oven baked pizza. Located close to Time Square, just off of the main area. Short wait and good staff.

“Coolest building/restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013 via mobile

This was a church before it became a pizzeria! The lofty stained glass ceilings and chandeliers that have been hanging for 65 years in the same place are worth the visit alone! Add the amazing pizza pies and its a fabulous night! We waited for 30 minutes...worth it!! Go!

“Extremely busy place on a Saturday night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

About a 30 min wait which isn't bad, but the lobby is packed with people waiting. Poor servers have to squeeze through at times. Some people got pushed around a little or had their feet stepped on.
We had John's traditional pizza with toppings. I liked the thin crust and the sauce and cheese is great. I'm not sure it deserves all the hype it gets, but we did enjoy the food. I'd like to try it on a weekday and see if it's a little less crazy. Maybe next trip.
