We were thrilled to be treated to dinner at Nobu. Our hostess did hope that we would have a "star sighting," but this is not the place to go if you want to see celebrities. It's a big, fun, expensive and delicious place. Nobu has great, smoky dark atmosphere and excellent service. The food is still really good. We began with miso soup and tempura vegetables which we fought over; they were so yummy. We had our favorite from the Aspen Matsuhisa, the Rock shrimp. Amazing. We also shared a variety of maki rolls all of which were delicious -- fresh, the right balance of spice and flavor.
