When I lived in NYC I used to love this place. Peruvian food? So exotic, so interesting, so flavorful. And in some ways, it still is, but several years on, having spent time traveling around Peru, and living with someone Peruvian, the exotic is gone from the food here. And while flavorful, for the most part it's a pale imitation of the real thing - dumbed down for American palates (why? we love spicy and creative food!) - and that was the biggest disappointment, it was really just devoid of spice, even the ceviche barely had any. Service is a bit rushed and the feel is very touristy.
