“Great deli sandwich”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2014

Just watched when Harry met Sally again and just had to go and check out Katz's Deli. It was really fun. The service was slow, but the food was really good deli food. Worth a visit. Tons of free pickles too!

“superb ...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2014

Again, in cases like these there is little or nothing worth adding, so please take this as yet another enthusiast looking to endorse Katz's incredible consistency over many, many years. An absolute MUST GO in capital letters if you happen to visit NYC. Perfect after a long day wandering in Soho's, Little Italy, The Village or any other surroundings. Pastrami up to perfection, incredible bread, great seasonings, heavenly fries, solid dogs and beer, lots of different options and all in a budget! This quality at such an inexpensive price tag is definitely a rare thing these days. DO NOT miss this place. You'll thank us all later ...

“Great Deli”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2014

Katz's deli is a wonderful old-fashioned deli. I have been there several times down the years. Amazingly, it has not changed very much. Their famous slogan "Send a salami to your boy in the army" is still prominent. Service is still done with paper tickets, nothing very high tech. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The best change I have seen, the neighborhood has improved greatly.

“The Ultimate Deli”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2014

If you want the real deal, this is the place down to the neighborhood. I've been to many NY Deli's and this one still delivers the total experience of choice Jewish food and atmosphere. It could be 1939 or 1969 - its timeless- the place is true to its roots. The pastrami is amazing as are the prices but hey, its New York City not Atlanta. One reviewer said they do not accept credit cards but the do. You just have to tell the waiter that's how you wish to pay. For those who like movie trivia; this is where Harry and Sally had their now famous discussion over lunch-" I'll have what she's having..."

“It's a classic - must see if you want to experience real NY”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2014

We enjoyed Katz pastrami, salami, and grilled pastrami reuben sandwiches with fries and a plateful of pickles. So much fun and the neighborhood is old NY. Still has the signs hanging around "send a salami to your boy in the army." Delicious!
