“much too long between salad and entre”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

Despite how good we heard the service was from the concierge and guidebook we were disappointed with how long it took to get the entre and thus we had to rush to get to our show. Our salad was cleared away at 6:45 but the entre didn't arrive until 7:15. When we ordered between 6:00 and 6:20 our waiter said they knew that everyone needed to be out by 7:45 for a show. Although when calling in advance they suggested a 6 or 6:30 reservation for an 8:00 show, in retrospect I would do 5:30 had I known they wouldn't pace it very well. Regarding service the other observations are they didn't clear the crumbs from our table until I asked although that was done for another table automatically, and it looked like they would have forgotten my desert wine if not reminded. The food was very good and the atmosphere was nice.

“What a great pre-show dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

We stayed around the corner from Rock Center and found this restaurant in teh afternoon and booked it for a pre-Broadway show meal. great location and GREAT FOOD and service. we have always had bad luck once you get right in theater district. It had a unique menu including a lobster out of the shell dish that was fantastic. open and inviting atmosphere. the dining room was booked but they gave us a reservation in the "cafe" that felt like a restaurant to me. great find. also, for NYC it was not too expensive.

“Pricey but quality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

Excellent food but very expensive. Sirloin steak was amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Menu is a little limited if you don't like seafood.

“Nice place to meet after work”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

We go to Oceana quite often for an after work glass of wine. Great seafood and appetizers. The place can get busy at times and service starts to suffer. All in all it's my staple for one for the road.
