“In for a quick bite, had great lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2012

We were just looking around in Saks and bumped into the cafe. It was lunch time and we decided to have something quick. We immediately liked the ambiance, the service was extremely friendly. I ended up having a 5-cheese torteloni and a glass of wine. Both were excellent. Lunch was served with a bread basket - each bread better than the other. All this was finished with cheesecake and espresso. We were very pleased with the place, the service and the food. It does not come cheap, though. About the price of dinner for two in a good restaurant - 50 bucks per head, incl. the wine.

“Delicious and delightful”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2011

We grabbed lunch at the cafe at Saks during a busy day just south of Central Park. We were lucky enough to be seated at a window table, and ate our lunch watching snow gently fall St. Patrick's. Every bit of our meal was delicious, and the service was friendly, genuine, and prompt. Although there are pricier items on the menu, there are also less expensive (for Manhattan) choices that are just as delicious and filling.

“Elegant place for lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2009

My husband and I had lunch here on our first day in NYC and it was a wonderful place to start our adventure. We were seated by a window with a view of St. Patrick's Cathedral, and couldn't stop staring out the window. I started with the butternut squash soup and he started with the crab and corn chowder. Both very good. I had the portabella and roasted red pepper sandwich and he then had the tuna sandwich. Great service. Definitely on the pricey side for lunch.

“If you are shopping with the wife, this is a great place to eat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2009

This restaurant is on the top floor of Saks Fifth Avenue. It has a fresh menu with great selections (plenty of guy food, not just salads) I had a great burger and the service was fast and friendly. The best part was the view. You can see all the way down Fifth Avenue. And the total cost for lunch was less than $50. A great break from watching your wife try on shoes

Classy brunch place on the 8th Floor of Saks. Their brunch special is affordable, you get a nice view of St. Patrick's. The best pottaoes I've tasted, and their crepe cake is divine.
