“A great choice in Grand Central”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

I have eaten here a few times in the past and decided on it as it was convenient (meeting a girlfriend who was hoping off the 4 train and I was nearby). One thing I love about this restaurant is it has a great casual atmosphere. Our service was very fast - I think we had our drink about 5 mins into sitting down - our waitress was very aware of our time and extremely efficient. The food is well above average and moderately priced. It gets crowded but not overflowing. In my opinion it's really the best place to meet someone and grab a bite if you are in the Grand Central area and want casual, great food, great service and decent price. The small plate appetizers are a great way to start - the eggplant parm was YUMMY and so was the caprese. Everything we ordered was very very tasty and prepared well. It can be a little loud near the bar so if you want quiet, sit up front. Window seats are always fun to people watch.

“Italian fastfood with a good atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

Normaly you do not get any service or attention those few times you are eating out alone on a business trip - but you do at Naples 45. Even got a nice table by the window! A very noisy place, but is't that the Italian style....? A traditional Italian menu, but I was missing truffles and fresh cut parmesan. I got the feeling that this is a rare mix of american fast food and italian cuisine - but with the social atmosphere, and that works when you are alone. About 50$ for a pizza (the piccante pizza was unfortunately not that impressive), caprese salat and a glass of red is good value in New York.

“Good eats and then some”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

Great food. Attentive service. Minus - we were seated near the bar on a Friday evening. Talk about noise! All those 20 somethings! A plus - we were next to the station where the pizzas are made. The line cook there was a real showman and provided great dinner entertainment.

“Great vibe & napolitano style pizza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

Totally enjoyable spot to meet up with friends. It's a bit loud, but once you get seated with that first glass of wine, you won't notice it because you'll be adding to it.

I thought this was a solid pizza option and love the location ~ easy to get to from wherever you are in the city. Usually I'm pretty wary of mall or station restaurants ~ but this was really great. Love the open kitchen with the wood fire pizza oven. The pizza ~ really good. Our favorite was a combination of white cheeses, smoked prosciutto, truffle and arugula. Thin crispy crust, perfectly done. Shared a solid caesar salad as well as NY style cheese cake.

I gladly say that this was one of the more economical meals of my NYC trip. I thought it was great value and the service was lovely.

And, you can have the bonus of walking through Grand Central Station ~ absolutely one of my favorite NYC venues.

“Not the best, but very good for big and busy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

Had a nice lunch at Naples 45, very noisy. We had a Margarita Pizza special that came with 3 small plates, Eggplant parmesan, Fried Calamari and Caesar Salad. Adequate portions, good service and reasonably priced. Very enjoyable.
