“What a hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2012

We walked Past this restaurant several times and decided to go there on our last night, it looks so unassuming from the outside, wow... Inside it was so elegant and graceful.

The food was wonderful and the service was exquisite ... We were only dressed in jeans, where as most other people were dressed inpecably, the merlot was full bodied and smooth as silk, the stuffed clams were super and the veal in tomato sauce was wonderful.

We had two bottles of wine and two courses, we were so stuffed.... So if you take off the wine we Spent $90 for the two of us, well worth a visit.... Would recommend to anyone! Btw we did not make a reservation and they were lovely staff.

“Excellent food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2012 via mobile

Visiting NYC this month, we noticed that good service has been a rare find....However, this restaurant exceeded our expectations. Traditional Northern Italian food was amazing. I would recommend the hot appetizer which included eggplant, shrimp, and clams! I had the veal saltimbocca and it was the best I have ever tasted. Wines were reasonably priced and the atmosphere was old style italian with live music(piano) playing in the background.

If you like Italian food....then this is the place to go.

“Very good food and wine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2012

We were seated and there was only one other table occupied on a monday night. They brought out a bread basket with olive oil dip and butter - very good. They took our wine order and brought out an excellent merlot for $12per glass. They forgot to bring us menus until we asked - but brought them quickly and explained the many specials. My veal dish was very good. They brought out more bread at our request. Overall a nice dinner experience.
