“Fun!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013

We dropped in out of a very chilly day into the Playwright Pub near Times Square. Joe, the bartender was quite entertaining and the Irish Coffee hit the spot! Fun place to stop in and take a break from the madness that is Times Square!

“1 - 2 - 3: Good Food, Nice Thanksgiving Menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013

1: Location: Great rest stop if visiting center of Manhathan, theater district, etc. on 8th Ave, just off West 46th St& a block from Times Square.

2: Food: Good Eats, Fine Beers, Friendly Service, Cozy, multi-level facility. Our first visit we had burgers and beers. Look at special menu called for second visit.

3: Thanksgiving Menu - 5 choices for dinner ... had lamb chops (Irish mom 's favorite meal), hot toddy, great on cold day (13º with wind chill), pinot grigio, dessert, coffee. Friendly service from attentive staff. Treat yourself and the family to fine food and good service in a clean, warm, welcoming PUB - what could be more Irish?

“This place is fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013 via mobile

The place has a great beer selection, great waitresses, and even better food! The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the music selection is also great. I've been here 2 times since I've been in NYC and will definitely come back!

“noisy, but worth ig”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2013

We were there on a busy Friday night. The food washot and nicely presented. It was so noisy s we could barely hear each other. Not somewhere I would go for an intimate evening.

“Good food, good portions.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2013

The chicken pot pie was really good and there was a lot of it. Our family also had a seafood pasta, buffalo wings and a burger. Everyone liked their food. It wasn't busy when we went so the service was good. Basket of dinner rolls were brought while we waited for our food. Would I go here again? With so many restaurants in NYC, I doubt it. It was good, but probably not a repeat for us.
