Costas Spiliadis, owner/chef, is continuing the standard of excellence he began in Montreal, where he opened the original Milo’s, now a landmark. Patrons can choose their fish from an abundant market display and watch it swiftly grilled in the open kitchen. Feast on savory, yet simple dishes and enjoy impeccable service - all in classic Greek tradition.

“Eaten here many times....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

While this is always a must go to when in NYC.... This time we found it merely ok. Bar service was horrible as bartender was more interested in chatting with the male guests than taking our order - then poured the glass of our order but then ignored the mixed drink half of our order. She started chatting and refilling the male guests club sodas instead of making my drink. When hostess finally came over, she was back asking if we just wanted to order the drink at out table, but made sure to present check for wine and waited for tip. The place was busy (crowded) and lively (loud) as usual. Table service was pleasant and attentive. Food was not as good as we remembered from our previous 4 visits. Have come to conclusion that it is way overpriced for what you get and may be the last time it is on our must go list.

“Good Greek Food but make reservations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

Visited Milos for the first time on a Wednesday evening. We did not make reservations which is a must for this restaurant. We waited over an hour for a table for 2; the place was packed and the atmosphere is loud and bustling. If you are looking for quiet and intimate, then look elsewhere. Bread and olive oil are offered but they take the olive oil away once it is poured. We had to wait a while to actually get more with our bread. It really should have been left on the table. We ordered the Milos Special for starters. Thinly sliced eggplant and zucchini with a tasty Greek cheese. Fabulous plate and it was definitely enough for the two of us; the price was 33.50 and this turned out to be our meal for the evening. We ordered drinks and deserts and we were satisfied. The menu is a bit pricey but worth it and definitely make reservations. Our waitress told us that at least 600 people are served each day.

“Great Find.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

We went on a Thursday evening and the place was very busy - an electric atmosphere. We arrived on time but had to wait about 1/2 hr before we were seated. That's OK as we sat at the bar watching all the activity. The service and food were excellent. The fish was fresh and prepared properly. We went by the recommendations of our our waiter who was very honest and forthright. Since you pay buy weight. Some fish are big enough for sharing which he advised. I would go back.

“Wonderful prix fixe lunch - even on Saturday and Sunday!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

This great restaurant offers one of New York's best bargains - appetizer, entree and dessert for $25. Everything was fresh and delicious and the service was great. They are one the few restaurants in New York to offer their prix fixe lunch menu on both Saturday and Sunday. It was nice to enjoy their wonderful fresh seafood in a much quieter setting.

“One of my favorite places in NYC”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

I travel to New York multiple times in the year and Milos is a must on my dinner list. Make sure to do reservations ahead of time since the place is extremely busy for both lunch and dinner. The grilled octopus and Milos special appetizer are a must try. Their crab cakes are great! The seafood is very fresh and so are all vegetable dishes. My favorite is the sea salt brazino. Order it when you order your appetizers since it takes 45 minutes to an hour to prepare. Their wine list has a good selection of Italian and Greece wines. Staff is very attentive and helpful. For dessert, the baklava or walnut cake are your best bets.
