“good, maybe really good. But not like the real thing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2014

Very good french restaurant experience. As close to being in a real french bistro in the USA as I have ever been.

“Good bistro food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014

This was really good 'french' bistro food. We had the NY restaurant week specials @ $25pp for 3 courses. Besides that it was on a matinee day.
We had cream of asparagus soup, then trout & pork chop. Both done very well. accompanied by potatoes and veggies & with very good bread. The portions were generous considering the restaurant week special and it being lunch. For dessert creme caramel [flan] and pain perdu [french toast] with chocolate ice cream-both very tasty & good. The only draw back might be the noise level-very high as the restaurant fills up [& it does]. BUT still very worth a visit.

“Some tasty choices here”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

I came here for the first time after yoga. My studio is right across the street. It was probably around 9:30pm and slow when I came. The table service was a little slower than I would have expected. It took a very long time for the waiter to take my order, despite having an almost empty restaurant. I ordered oysters, wine, and the octopus salad. The octopus salad was fantastic! However, I had thought they had forgotten I ordered it as my entree because it took so long for them to deliver it after the oysters. Good food, average service.

“Pre-theater bite but not great food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014

Location ideal for quick pre-theater brunch/lunch or dinner. Decor fun. Food passable but not special. NOISY! Not as good as Marseille (their sister restaurant on 9th Ave).
