“Old school dining at today's NY prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

We thought it would be fun to eat here before our Broadway show and had made a reservation several months in advance. It made me think about all of the famous people who had dined here over the years and it was fun seeing all of the characatures on the walls. It was old school dining at its finest. The service was excellent and the food was very good. It seemed a bit pricey but I guess I'm not used to New York prices. Good experience overall.

“This could be the start of something big...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

As the song lyrics suggest, dining at Sardi's could be the start of something big in New York's theater district. It's the perfect spot for pre-theater or post-dinner dining. Or a mid-afternoon snack. Whenever, Sardi's is one of America's iconic restaurants, saluted in song, movies and theater since it opened in 1927. And for good reason. The food is top quality, the service friendly and helpful (gawk at the hundreds of caricatures lining the walls, and someone on staff will identify faces you ask for), and the ambiance is cozy. And the prices are surprisingly moderate.

“A wonderful theater district experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Great food, great service and old style New York atmosphere... What's not to like? And, if you're famous they will add your picture to their wall. You can take a trip back through time seeing the actors on their walls.

“Fun, classic, good food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

Its a shame thousands of people eat at places like Applebees and Fridays when they come to NYC when there are classic restaurants like Sardi's that have no wait and wonderful food. I ordered the salmon and it was fantastic, the restaurant has a fun friendly atmosphere and it was a great place to eat before seeing "Newsies". Everyone should eat at Sardi's at least once in their life.

“Dinner before a show”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

Located just off Times Square, Sardi's was certainly a restaurant we had heard of but in the past we had passed it over. This Saturday we were early and the restaurant was not crowed so we gave it a try. The walls are filled with caricatures of celebrities ( literally filled) and it made for good conversation with my two teenagers. Menu is a bit pricey but your our in times square, everything we was delicious. Scallops, salmon, chicken and salads were all delicious and service was impeccable. It made for a perfect start to our evening. I would recommend calling ahead for times closer to traditional dinner show times. As we were leaving restaurants was full. Highly recommend to get that full broadway experience.
