This restaurant "Established 1904" is still stuck in 1904. It is a stretch to say this is still Little Italy but it was recommended so we tried.
The food is poor to average at best and definitely overpriced. As has been said by numerous other reviewer's the servers have no personality or quite frankly manners either.
We went for a special dinner and were sadly disappointed by our mains and 90% of the staff. Fortunately our server had a tiny spark of personality and was the only fire burning in the place. Even after a hefty dinner bill I could not get a good bye, good night or any kind of acknowledgement from 3 separate staff members as we left, including a gentleman sitting by the cash register who I venture to guess was the manager or the owner.
After our starter a waiter picked up the dirty dishes and the cutlery, then
As for the food, I ordered a main (lasagne) with a side order of italian sausage. I asked if it was a baked lasagne or the type that comes in a square cut from a pan and was assured it was not baked. My "BAKED" lasagne arrived barely warm and drowning in a sauce but no side of sausage until I had half finished my meal and asked about it.
The birthday girls meal also mediocre and not worth the $22.00. The only bright light of the night was the desert but even that got doused with the rudeness of the staff as we left.
I would suggest this place needs to close or take a trip to London and eat at a proper Italian restaurant called il Bordello which I have written about in the past.
As they say I went, I tried and I left - NEVER to return.
