I first went to Gramercy Tavern back in 2004 and remember that it was a great experience. From the food to the service, it was all excellent.
I went back two weeks ago and it was still great food and service. My friends and I ordered the prefix menu and it started with a coconut-based soup with shrimps and mussels. It was a light version of tom yam soup and very refreshing with the shrimps cooked to perfection as it melts in your mouth. The second course was smoked sweetbreads where I cannot find the words to describe. The main course was grilled lamb shoulder steak, seasoned and cooked perfectly. The dessert was a chocolate layered cake with sour cream ice cream. All for $90!!!
