I LOVE the feel of this place. It's intimate without feeling stifling and the food and cocktails are out of this world (ask for a Louisa May Alcott -- awesome drink).
The photos on the wall, the service, lighting, decor...everything just screams quintessential NYC experience. I went last weekend for my birthday and wasn't disappointed. I was kind of confused reading the reviews because I thought maybe I wasn't thinking about the same place. A google search and I realized that the place is under new ownership but kept the name. Don't know what it was like before, but now it's a really cool (without trying to be super trendy) place to relax, have a bite and mingle with your neighbors. Highly recommend.
