“Very good lunch experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

We had little dishes to share: a few appetizers and a salad, along with cocktails. Everything was very good. The service was quick; almost too good. The water glasses would be filled before they hit 'empty.' We were offered lemon grass scented refreshing towels twice.

We were greeted just as we came in, and a server was with us in a couple of minutes.

The place is very big, feels almost like a chain restaurant, but it has dim lighting and a very cool, relaxed ambiance. It was a welcome change after a long walk in hot muggy weather. I think it would be a good dinner place for a small group of friends.

I like the place, and I recommend it. I saw that some people gave it a terrible rating but that was the opposite of my experience. The place was almost full but everything was running really well.

“Great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

A great stop for the evening.
Inventive display of foot types from southeast asia, or S.E.A.
try the ginger rice.
The Laksa should not be missed.
The pork tenrerloin was a little dry. Dont bother.
Order more appetizers than you can eat.

Portions of everything are small but that gives a chance to order more.

“Fantastic meal!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We weren't planning to have dinner but ended up walking in - turned out to be a great choice. We all enjoyed our food and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend the Onion and Chili Crusted Short Ribs Egg Noodles and Pea Shoots. The Mussels Steamed with Lemongrass Thai Basil, Dried Chili and Coconut Juice were also amazing!

“We were lucky to wander into this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

We stopped in here for lunch after strolling down the Highline. We would like to thank the woman selling jewelry on the street outside, for recommending this spot and for suggesting that we eat inside rather than on the sidewalk outside. The atmosphere inside was very pleasant and peaceful.

We sampled 5 dishes, most of which were very tasty. The spicy thai slaw was an excellent combination of flavors, light and refreshing with a nice spicy bite. The lobster summer rolls were a little bland: the only disappointing item that we tried. This is a sushi type roll, and it was not of the quality you hope for in the City. The Vietnamese spring rolls, on the other hand, were top quality. Finally, the pad thai with shrimp was a little different from the typical thai restaurant, but very tangy and flavorful. The shrimp were very fresh. I don't remember the fourth item, but it was very good.
Our server was friendly and helpful. She gave good suggestions and was just as attentive as you would want, without being intrusive. We wish her well in landing a part in a musical, her reason for coming to the City. I was thirsty from my walk on this humid day, and they kept my water glass full.
