I love options and the small plates created by Chef Mosher makes me go out of my way to dine at Alta. Add to that the energy of the place it is a thrill ride for the palate and as well for all the other senses. Noisy-definitely. Service-a bit manic at times, but I do not mind the dishes beinng thrown at me every now and then as long as nothing spills. Only regret is that it would be nice if the staff stuck around long enough to explain what was just dropped off. Although, guessing what we are eating on occasion is great fun. I have dined here multiple times-on a date, with friends, with family and with business associates.Gone with the pickiest and most flexible of eaters from all over the country and all but one raved about Alta and it was the noise that got to him. With the size of that menu, how busy Alta is and the quality that comes out of the kitchen I hope that Chef Mosher is well compensated. This is not the type of kitchen that anybody who wears a white coat could run. Do check out the extensive wine list while there or allow one of the extremely professional bartenders mix you up something. As I originally shared Alta offers choices. Cheers.
