“Best Greek Spot in NYC!”

What a fantastic restaurant! The ambiance is so elegant yet very welcoming. They have the freshest fish in town. I've never had an issue at Thalassa - their service is impeccable. A+

“Beautiful and delicious”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Upon entering we were nicely greeted and promptly shown to a table though we did not have a reservation. The restaurant was attractive, tables were nicely spaced, and the noise level not loud. We had a range of foods from a Filet Mignon, Branzino, to Seafood Thalassa. The fish were displayed on ice to see prior and looked very fresh. The fish dishes were excellent but the meat had a bit too much sauce. The service was efficient and courteous. I would say that dinner there is about average price for a good, NYC restaurant, meaning not inexpensive but in this case, well worth the visit. We would definitely be back.

“Not here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

Very unpleasant. Rude staff, awful music from a private party and well-prepared, but over-priced fish. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for a family outing.

“Thalassa knows how to get it done”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013

Held a private party for about 100 people at Thalassa and had a wonderful experience. The food is great and has a wonderful taste. The space is beautiful and the staff knowledgeable, friendly and went above and beyond to meet our needs. Everything was as we had expected and all of our guests were pleasantly surprised and couldn't stop commenting on how great the place was. Look forward to returning for dinner soon. Thanks to Tasso and the crew for making us feel so welcome.

“Elegant and welcoming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

We were impressed that a place with such impressive architecture was so friendly and welcoming. The fresh fish was perfect, the feta in the horiatiki (Greek) salad was abundant, moist and delicious, lamb chops were nicely grilled. Best of all, was the waiter's recommendation for wine a well priced red from Hatzimichalis, a name I can pronounce!
