“Very good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013 via mobile

Very good location, near everywhere. Ask for a city view room, then you can see Empire State Building. Small room, but very clean though. Breakfast is very good in US standard, good selection of breads, a few hot dishes and coffee & tea. 2 blocks away from nearest subway station. Opposite hotel. There is a small supermarket.

The hotel is new and the staff was very friendly and helpful! I was here with a friend for a weekend trip and the room was big enough that we weren't bumping in to each other. They offer a continental breakfast with a decent amount of choices. It is close to Times Square so you don't have to worry about catching a cab to get around. I would definitely stay here again!

Everyone at the Manhattan Springhill Suites was incredibly nice and helpful. The facility is new this year and it is spotless. Rooms are bright (a rarity in New York) and comfortable. The location is very convenient to many Manhattan attractions. The fitness room is large, bright and has more equipment than is typical for a hotel in this category. I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on the backside of the hotel are more quite but have a view of an old dark office building in...

The room we had was good and a decent size for New York. The beds were great! And although or room was next to the elevator it was quiet. The only backside to this hotel is that the breakfast room is too small – not enough seating and not enough room to get around resulting in quite long lines to get coffee etc. the food served was OK. The staff was very helpful. All in all a great hotel on an great location

This hotel is brand new! Which means everything in it is still in good condition. I like the photos and the way they designed the main floor and rooms. Although everything seems crowded on a very small area. The view is nice , we could not get a room at a higher floor even though I tried hard and made the request in advance. From the 7th floor we could see the Emprire State building. We went on a family trip (2 kids) and struggled a bit with luggage space and closet space. Don't think I'd recommend it since it is overpriced.

We stayed in this hotel for a week in early September. Location is good, subway stations are quite close. We got a room on 17th floor, backyard. The view was quite good, but if you stay lower floors the backyard view can be quite bad. The street is not too busy, so I guess the noise on that side is not too loud.
The room itself is big enough. There is a king size bed, desk and a sofa. In the room there was very small coffee maker, not very suitable to make tea though.
Bathroom was ok, clean and big enough. The only problem, as in most hotels as well, was the lack of space to put your own stuff.
Internet connection was fast enough to use.
Breakfast, there were some problems. First of all the breakfast area was quite small. During many mornings there wasn't enough seats. Luckily it was warm enough to eat outside. The arrangement of the breakfast are was also weird.
The breakfast itself was not good. Scrambled eggs, bagels, some muffins and if you were lucky enough you could get croissants. Orange juice was not good. Over all not worth it.
On the roof top there was a terrace, which was closed for some reason. I wonder why, since the view would have been very good. Empire state building just in front. Why it has to be closed?

Room Tip: Try to avoid lower floors with backyard view, since the next building is very close.

In New York very expensive real estate and it is visible at once by the size of the hotel room. And if two beds in the room were located, for place cases any more didn't remain. Also there is no place for suitcases and they stood in the middle of the room.
Still smaller size bathroom. There is a feeling that you take a shower in a matchbox. The bathroom has a thin glass door. Now I understood why the hotel calls the rooms "studio" – they are simply combined with a bathroom.
Also be not late for a breakfast. In this hotel it comes to an end already at 9 o'clock in the morning. Breakfest the very poor: omelet, bacon, some rolls, drink and coffee. That's it. During a place breakfast to all doesn't suffice (very closely) and it is necessary to clean ware, drinks - simply color water without taste and a smell.
The conditioner in the room works is very noisy.
Hotel arrangement. Here everything is simply excellent. Downtown. It is very convenient to reach any sight. Close there is a set of restaurants and metro station (subway).
In hotel there are no scales to weigh baggage.

SpringHillSuitesNYC, General Manager at SpringHill Suites New York Midtown Manhattan/Fifth Avenue, responded to this review, November 24, 2013
Dear Lugansk

Thank you for wiritng a review. Without feedback we can not improve. Upon reading your review I am sorry hat we did not meet the expectation you had prior to your arrival. Our breakfast mid week does end at 9:00 AM due to so many people starting their day early as most do in NYC to get a start on the day to get as much in. If anyone is still eating we would never shut it down immediately. I know the food was a big dissapointmnet to you and have shared your comments with our team. They have taken your comments and have begun to work diligently to change up the variety. We also have been staying open later if it is very busy. Room space is a nice size for the city, but can see how it can be viewed as small when you compare it to rooms outisde of the city limits.

I again thank you for taking the time to write. We take all of our comments very seriously and are working hard to improve constantly.

We hope on your return you stop by and see some of the amazing changes and maybe we can persuade to have you give us another try.

All the best and hope your weekend was great!
