“Lot of fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

We got to the theater for a matinee on Sunday about 40 minutes before show time and were first in the cancellation line. We got excellent 6th row center tix for $147 each. The play was a hoot and it was Sigourney Weaver's last night there. She was good but the rest of the cast was even better. The second part of the first half got a little slow but the rest of the play was just a lot of fun. The acting was amazing. David Hyde Pierce gives an incredible monologue that has me wondering how one person can remember all that dialogue when I can't remember the name of the restaurant I ate at last night. Very enjoyable.

“Funny play”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

This play was enjoyable. The actors were really funny with excellent performances. Tickets prices are a little steep at $150 but that's the price of seeing a popular play.

“Durang's homage to low brow humor”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

Even good actors such as David Hyde Pierce and Sigourney Weaver couldn't rescue this romp into idiocy. Ostensibly a campy send-off of Chekhov, the play seemed more of a college effort by the playwright--trying to pack too much into what could have been a delightful comedy played with subtlety.

“Great funny, entertaining play”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

This play is worth the ticket price. We dumped the Lion King which was twice as much for this play. I can understand why it won 2013 Best Play and two actors nominated. It is funny, sharply written, well acted and did I say funny? Definitely go see it as this will be soon be a stock regional theatre piece and you can say you saw the original cast.
