We stayed at the Residence Inn for 5 nights on our visit to NYC.
I had read a lot about accommodation in NYC and selected this place mainly because of feedback I had seen regarding the location and services provided.
NYC was our first leg of an 18 day tour through 5 states and got off to a great start with this hotel.
The staff were helpful at all times, the room was very good, clean and we had a window you could actually open (partially) and get fresh air rather than have the air con on all the time.
The breakfast provided was a great start to each day.
Some reviews mentioned long waits for the lift. We didn't have any trouble at all. Laundry facilities good as well.
Location was perfect. Close enough to Time Square (8 mins), Central Park (10 mins) Empire State, Rockerfeller Centre etc all walking distance. Close enough to all the NYC "action" without the noise. Rarely heard the sirens, horns etc even with the window open.
This is a great place and will stay there again next time we visit NY.
