5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013 via mobile

Wonderful stay in May 2013, will definitely return. what a cool hotel! When we arrived there was a fashion photo shoot in the lobby, beautiful hotel, friendly staff, great location on W13th street, Village and Chelsea around the corner. Will also remember doorman Michael with his great smile, remembering our names, great recommendations, loved the Jade!

Stayed here last Saturday night while attending the World Science Festival. After reading reviews on this hotel before staying, we noticed many people frustrated with the elevator operation. Sure enough, the first time we tried to use the elevator to get to our 15th floor room, we experienced a significant wait (10 minutes+) for the one working elevator. Other than that issue, the hotel was clean and perfectly acceptable in all areas. I would stay here again, slow elevators would not keep me away from a nice, clean, quiet hotel in a great area of the city.

Room Tip: Naturally, the higher rooms are quieter, we were on the 15th floor and didn't have any noise of...

The location is awesome. Walking distance to Union Square, Meatpacking, etc. Tons of bars and cafes everywhere. The room was small but quiet and very comfortable. I had a great night sleep. The staff was friendly. Nice toiletries. I will stay here again. Small, feels more like a residence (not too small like a B&B!). Much nicer than a big thoughtless chain hotel.

Stayed here for three nights in April, thought we give it a go being a newly opened boutique hotel.
First impression of the hotel is chic and young. As most people commented, the word small comes up a lot - the room was indeed compact and the lighting can be a bit dark. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean.
There are only two lifts and sometimes can be slow.
The staff are friendly and helpful, there are some minor teething issues with the services when we were there but not an big problem, being the hotel opened just three weeks prior to our arrival.
Jade Hotel is located in a nice neighbourhood by 6th Avenue. I recommend this hotel for holiday makers but not so sure about using this as a base for business travellers.

We stayed three days at the Jade Hotel in May. A group of 5 with two seniors and one child. It was fantastic, a very nice hotel, clean and well equiped. Great service, nice staff. Good food. Close to the metro. Would return without hesitation.

I stayed at The Jade for three nights on a recent business trip. The location was great and it was easy to get around. The front desk staff was very efficient and friendly.

The rooms are done in an art deco style. They are done very well but are rather small. It was ok for one person, but had I been travelling with my husband, I am not sure how I would have liked the cramped quarters. The bathroom was done to a high standard. The beds were comfortable and the wifi was good.

I had a drink at the bar, but did not eat there. It was a nice place for a drink, the service was ok, it was moderately priced

The jade hotel is in a great location with friendly employees, however we were promised a suite and we were put in a closet for the same rate. The shower head was broken and the air conditioning was broken. Plaster from the bathroom ceiling was falling down and made a mess all over the room. We told the staff and they did nothing to fix the mess. They have two small elevators and are missing a service elevator, so I was running up and down the staircase to get from the lobby to my room. The gym is small and has nothing in it, a waste of time. This hotel is only worth the stay because of the location. Go to the Bowery, they know service!!!!!!

Room Tip: pick a better hotel
