“Great pub food,restaurant quality.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013 via mobile

Eat here you will not be disappointed. We can vouch for mussels starter, fish and chips, shepherds pie and my favourite the pork chop(stunning). Really friendly service great place if you want to pop in for a quick pint and food or if you want to have a heavy drinking session(which we done both!!).

“New location for Tir na nOg”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

We stopped in the new location for Tir na nOg on 39th Street and enjoyed ourselves. The "olde Irish countryside with the below floor peice of the Olde Sod" was pretty well done and the space was really big. We sat at a tiered two top( high small table, not sure what the second level was for but it was handy for water glasses) close to the bar where a well poured and cold Guinness and Dog Fishhead were quick to appear. We had an order of Chicken Wings(basic but good) and I had a corned beef sandwich( I thought it was very good with the Colmans mustard on it) and my partner had the chicken tenders( we both thought they were good). The service, both food and drink, was very good and the young lady serving us was friendly and attentive being there when needed. It got very crowded and the service did not get slower throught the night. I will go there again on my next visit

“Great fish and chips-hummus too!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

It is a little weird to have hummus with your fish and chips but it was a perfect little starter to a shared meal. Nice wait staff and super ambiance.

“Great decor - poor food”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

I had a business lunch here, and it really wasn't good. I did what I usually do and emailed the establishment with my concerns, but I'm unhappy to report that I never received a response. To that end, the Shepheards pie was tasteless and the chicken was tough. Lovey decor and staff, but don't go here to eat.

“Good pints of Guinness and a good burger”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

I was staying next door at the Element and, having been working all day, needed a quick late night Guinness and a burger. Both were excellent....a perfectly poured Guinness and a good-quality ground beef burger....and served with great charm and friendliness. The place is big, so with only a few people there, it's a bit barn-like. However, would highly recommend for solid food and excellent service.
