This hotel is really good. I dont get bothered, the staff is really helpful and nice. The room i stayed in was rather small but i didnt mind since i was out and about quiet a bit. I didnt try the restaurant or the bar (maybe next time i visit). Overall a good hotel

Room Tip: for the cheapest rate ~$79 before tax, the room is really small. I would recommend this room for tig...

The Pod 39 (and Pod 51) are probably at the cheapest end of NY hotel accommodation. It's used alot by younger people. The model works if you want to spend more money on going out than on your room. It's very basic but the beds are comfy and the showers good. It's funky, modern with a hip, buzzy and friendly bar on ground floor. Staff are friendly and the location and views from higher rooms are very good. Rooms are functional, very small (think womb rather than room!) and minimal storage space. However, they've thought it through well and it works if you don't have too much stuff! The the shower bathroom area is divided by a textured glass screen so little in the way of privacy! The absence of a kettle in the room was the thing we missed most. You have to go down to the bar or out for a coffee/tea. Good for the traveller who isn't too high maintenance and would rather spend money on good dining! We would use it again.

Staying at Pod 39 right now and I'm beyond impressed! The views from my 3 windows are breath taking, and I have a single pod. I can see Empire State Building from my shower and incredible city vies from others. The room is small but extremely clean and functionable. The bar and restaurant downstairs is great. The location couldn't be better. Best value I've ever had.

Room Tip: A room in the upper floors.

Discovered this new hotel on Trip Advisor and stayed there while on business in NYC recently. Cute, clean and comfortable. The small spaces are outfitted so smartly you don't feel like you are in a "pod". Loved our stay, enjoyed the bar, sitting area and found the ping pong tables a fun diversion. Great location too!

In the midtown Manhattan, it may be highly difficult to find a single room with a great quality but at an acceptable price at the same time. I live in this hotel for a short trip to NY, and on average it's only 100 USD per night. The location is good; only a 3-minute walk from the Grand Central Station, so foods and stores are everywhere. The space of a single room is large enough for a lone traveler as long as you don't plan to party in your room, and a queen-size bed is a plus. As I live on the 15th floor, it seems very quiet to me, and I don't feel bothered at all. The speed of wireless network is also fast, unlike many crappy 'free' connections provided by some hotels.

There may be some minor deficiencies: No fridge, no tooth brush and paste, water is from top of your head and cannot be adjusted. Yet consider the overall quality and the price, I still fully recommend the hotel.
