“Nice Thai Choice.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

Was looking for a decent thai restaurant near our hotel and found this on just a few blocks away. It was quiet inside on a sunday night, but that suited me fine. Ordered a $3 Chang beer, which i haven't had since Thailand and it started the experience off well. The summer rolls were excellent, spring rolls were good if not special. For mains we had spicy basil chicken and red thai curry, both having a good amount of heat and flavor. Service was pleasant and quik ( also you could tell they do a bustling takeout business) I recommend if you get that thai craving and are in the area.

“Awesome Thai restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

We came w our 3 kids ages 12,6, and 3. We loved it. Service was impeccable. My kids really liked the Thai fried rice and cashew chicken. Tom young shrimp soup was best we've ever had w a sweet spicy twist. You have to try the pork chop special. Sticky rice was awesome.

“Great Food, Great Service, Great Price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

If you are looking for great affordable thai food, you absolutely must try Rain Thai. If you can make it during the week, you can try their lunch menu. The cost of the lunch specials are between $8.50 and $10. You get an appetizer and main course. My favorites are the Drunken Noodles (spicy) with chicken, Thai Rice with chicken, and grilled chops with sticky rice..which is absolutely heavenly. Everyone is attentive and welcoming. It is worth the trip!

“Really good Thai Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

Rain has some of the best Thai Food in New York City, it was rated one of the top 10 Thai Places by CBS New York, they use fresh ingredients, with a special Chef's menu of original dishes. I loved all the curries and I love the Salmon Mango...I always start with summer rolls or the duck rolls, to die for...yes, this is Thai at it's best. Rain has a large menu reasonably priced with a great atmosphere. If you like walking, you can walk to Central Park, Times Square, and the Museum of Modern Art...all very close...Rain is located on the midtown east side of Manhattan near many attractions.

“Wonderful Lunch at Rain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

There were four of us for a co-worker’s farewell lunch. Everything was very good and the service for such a busy place was great. Will return....
