“Could return every day and find something new....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

This is the former National Biscuit Company cookie factory (Oreo's) and is now jam packed with interesting shops, restaurants and galleries - all because someone had a vision. I think you could show up every day and find something new. We arrived hungry and lucked out and got a table for lunch. Everyone was able to get what they wanted as there is so much to choose from. I'm envious of the villagers that have this in their neighborhood. It's a treasure and you should see it while in town. Combine it with a walk on the High Line for a really special day.

“Dry, fun place to spend an afternoon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

On a school trip it was a good place to warm up from the cold wind. Lots of food shops and different types of foods for students to look at. Plenty of little cafes but not the shopping experience that young teenagers really wanted.

“Fun for Foodies”

This was a fun place to go on a cold day. Walking through and grazing on a fabulous hot dog at the butcher, a really good scone from one of the bakeries .. you get the idea.

“Fun Experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

We really enjoyed spending an afternoon in Chelsea Market, which is the old National Biscuit Company factory. It took us about three hours to fully experience the market, including eating lunch. The market is fully indoors and contains a variety of interesting vendors, mostly focused on food. There's a great grocery store (tons of produce), a cute wine shop, a nice kitchenwares store, a fun book store, and lots of interesting specialty vendors (including a great seller of spices and teas). We had lunch at a delicious soup place and enjoyed a milkshake at the Milk Bar after lunch. Yum. Definitely worth a visit while in NYC!
