I like this Hotle because it is right near the Seaport and close to my home. When I have friends visit this is most convenient. Prices can be a bit HIGH but in comparison what ISN'T IN NEW YORK. Its small so there isn't to many ppl but big enough for a nice complimentary breakfast and comfty beds. I'm originally from NY so this spot always works for me, and its so close to the BATTERY PARK MOVIE THEATER, COOL SPOT!!!!

I'm more concerned with value than price. If I pay $60/night, I expect a $60/night experience. If I pay $500/night, I expect an experience to match. This hotel was a great value for what I paid, and I felt safe enough to walk to and from the Financial District after 10 p.m. I'll stay here again if I need to be in South Manhattan.

We stayed for two nights in a twin room. The super comfortbale beds, genuinely friendly and helpful Front Desk staff, complimentary wifi and the perfect complimentary breakfast make this hotel the ideal base to explore the exciting city of New York. We found no issues with noise or elevator waits. The entire downtown area is within walking distance and the rooms are super clean with excellent newly renovated bathrooms. Great value for money, to be recommended.

From the moment we entered the hotel lobby doors we felt as if we were some superstar guests they were waiting for. From check-in, to helpfulness in getting us around town and supplying maps, to answering our many tourist questions, to fixing the A/C problems, this hotel staff was simply AMAZING. The accommodations were comfortable, the breakfast sufficient and varied. We could not have asked for more. Even the price of the parking ($20/day) was low for the area. The location was great for us as well.

We stayed here for three nights and were happy with the entire visit.
Pros:
Great location. Easy access to walking the Brooklyn bridge. Right near the Fulton street subway terminal. That location can get you just about anywhere and has many food options around. The food options are inexpensive places such as Chipotle. The area is clean and relatively quiet.

Friendly staff: We had a friendly staff the entire visit, though we did not use housekeeping. Cookies were set out every night. Breakfast area was clean and properly tended to.

Clean: The hotel is clean. That is a huge plus

Cons:

It is a little far off the beaten path if your focus is midtown, but great for downtown. We took a cab from times square late at night and the tab was $24 which would really add up if you needed to do that several times.

The breakfast is pretty ho-hum. It is to be expected from a mid-range chain, but every once in a while a hotel will surprise us with a good quality breakfast. This was not that hotel.

Two adjoining rooms that I reserved were not ready almost 45 minutes after check-in time. When I started to complain, one staff member insisted that the rooms were ready (his previous mistake) and sent us on a wild goose chase with keys to other rooms while the cleaning staff finished with our actual rooms in the interim.

Very budget hotel...needs some major upgrades. Doors do not have soft-closing mechanisms and everyone makes a racket entering and leaving their rooms, especially the cleaning staff. Remember there is no restaurant, no room service, no room safe (you have to ask for one?). Breakfasts are free but, yucky; went out for breakfast each of the four days we stayed. Taking everything into account, not worth the savings. On the plus side, front staff very friendly and accommodating, but shouldn't this be a given?

Room Tip: Make sure you don't get a room on the main floor!!
