A little gem of a hotel steps away from the Seaport, literally 2 minutes away, but tucked away on a side street so guests are not subjected to the late night raucous merrymaking. The rooms & facilities are exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The individually climate-controlled rooms are very pleasant and astonishingly quiet, although I did find them a bit small. The staff goes out of their way to accomodate guests. We were checked in immediately and courteously although we were significantly early. We took our bags to our room, left immediately as we were running late for an event, and did not return until late evening, at which time we inspected the room and realized that it would be uncomfortably tight for my husband, 7 year old daughter and I. We requested a larger room, and were instructed to take our bags to the 9th floor. Upon entering the room, it was obvious that no housekeeping had been performed since the departure of the previous occupants. We then had to move our bags to another room. However, they restored our good humor when they voluntarily reduced our rate by half in redress for our inconvenience.
My 7 year old daughter has forged a special friendship with Anthony, the bell captain/doorman/provider of anything else you need. The desk staff is always pleasant. A word of warning about their complimentary breakfast buffet--quite bad.
