Very satisfied. My only complaint was the location, offering few amenities after business hours, requiring a taxi back and forth to midtown to business, and the continual construction across the street and in the vicinity.

This is a very nice hotel in the financial district. We had the most amazing view of the 9/11 Memorial and the construction site of the new World Trade Center from our king room on the 42nd floor. Although it is far from Times Square, it is close to the N/R subway line within walking distance of Battery Park. The room was a good size and very clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. We did not hear any construction although we were there on a weekday and we could see people working. Parking was on par with NYC rates.

Room Tip: High floors facing west for the view.

just stayed the weekend in this hotel and thought id drop a quick review on here . ....here are the facts
1 . this hotel is clean and well managed
2. the beds , bedding and pillows were really comfortable
3. the views from our room were fantastic from the 38th floor ...could see the 9/11 memorial , new world trade building and Hudson river .
4. the location of this hotel puts you within a short walk of 9/11 memorial , south street seaport , brooklyn bridge , wall street bull ,federal hall , statue of liberty and ellis island ferries , soho and greenwich village neighborhoods , as well as many other attractions . my reason for choosing this hotel was for its close proximity to brooklyn as we had concert tickets to see Depeche mode at the Barclays center

my advice to anyone staying here and wishing to see the 9/11 memorial should go online and print out a timed ticket in advance to avoid the long lines of people on standby .

here are some examples of cab fares we paid to get to other areas
from the hotel to times square 12 dollars . hotel to penn station was 12.50 . hotel to Barclays center in brooklynn was 10.50

I hope this helps you all in your New York city journeys and if any additional advice is needed feel free to drop me a message on here

Room Tip: ask for a room on one of the upper floors

Dear Jay,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your review via TripAdvisor. We are so happy you had a fantastic stay with us and we are glad you appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel, the downtown location and the accommodating staff! We also wanted to let you that on your next stay with us, you can simply visit the Concierge directly to print out your 9/11 Memorial tickets for you, so you don't have to wait on line or print them yourself. We hope to welcome you back again soon.

Best Regards,
Alex

We booked here to be downtown as we had stayed near central park last time.
The staff very efficient and the hotel concierge was more than helpful.
We walked from the hotel to pier 19 and china town really easily
Our room was on 14th floor overlooking the 9/11 memorial and the new Tower 1
The room was a nice size and very clean.
we never used the restaurant or bar as there are far too many places to eat and drink nearby
Century 21 next door so not far to carry all your shopping bags.

I traveled here for business and was immediately impressed with the professionalism of the staff. The room was good-sized, clean, and had a view overlooking the 9/11 memorial. The only downside was that the walls were a little thin. I could hear my neighbor's phone conversation perfectly through the wall. People were quiet once it got late so it didn't end up being a problem, but I could see how it might be an issue sometimes. And I'll know to talk quietly if I'm having a private conversation... Overall, I'm likely to stay there again if I end up back in New York for work.

Room Tip: Definitely go with a higher floor to avoid the construction noise below.

The hotel is perfectly positioned downtown if you are conducting business or visiting the WTC site. It sits directly across from the new transit center construction site so be forewarned about cranes and noise but they were off duty this particular weekend. Much to see and do in Lower Manhattan and Wall Street and some of the historic churches are within easy walking distance. Century 21 giant discount department store is next door and very convenient for shopping too. The only problem is that if you were interested in seeing other parts of Midtown and Uptown you are in for a longer subway/taxi ride than staying in more centrally located neighbourhoods. From Penn Station to the Hotel expect to pay $12-15 and Times Square $17-19. Numerous Subway stations nearby abound luckily. One thing to remember is that the hotel is VERY tall (55 stories) but very narrow (8-10 rooms per floor). The health centre on the 5th floor is reasonably sized and equipped and there is a medium sized pool for use. Did not use the restaurant/bar on the 3rd floor but the lobby and the bar therein is rather tiny. The rooms themselves are excellent and up to top Hilton design standards but the bathroom fixtures and jacuzzi tub/shower seemed a bit dated. I was impressed with the size - for a NYC hotel you usually feel clausterphobic and was not the case with the Millenium. Good value for the room size. I called ahead to request an early arrival check-in but whenn we arrived at 13:30 I was told that would have to wait until 15:00...the desk clerk was extremely nice when we returned as I had requested a "high floor" and actually gave us one of the 2 rooms on the top floor that was not a suite (Presidential, Mayoral, Governor's suites took up the bulk of the space) but the floor itself felt much more VIP with wood panelled walls and nicer decor than the rest of the guest floors. I would recommend this place and would stay again easily.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the WTC Tower/Memorial/Ground Zero have an amazing view of the Hudson and new WTC...

We came to the hotel from Newark Airport and with the Path train it was quite easy and affordable.
The rooms are spacious by New York standards. We had a room on the 47 floor and the views where amazing.
We usually stay in the Times Square area and it was a nice change to find out how nice is this area.
Will stay here again.

Room Tip: Very close the the WTC Path station
