“Great hotel on Manhattan!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW

I loved this hotel from the moment we arrived! The staff was just amazing! They were helpful, attaché helped with many suggestions where to dine, where to go out, etc. they never disturbed us and were very discrete. Our room was cleaned I think 2 times per day which was great. The restaurant offer a great menu and I think I had the best steak ever! The location it's just perfect, close to Central Park, broadway, few clubs and good restaurants. I am really trying to find a bad thing so you don't think that I am not realistic but really I cannot find one! Wifi was working at all times. The room was super equipped with great lighting and touchscreen pad through you could turn the lights, AC, open the curtains, etc! Absolutely loved the experience and would love to come back.

This was our first time visiting New York, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The hotel was exquisite, the staff was wonderful! We dined at the Wayfair and met Ryan our waiter, what a nice man, he helped us with what to see , directions & even gave us his number in case we got lost! Then there was Bryant at the consigliere desk who helped us with restaurants , tickets and when we misplaced our tickets for going home helped us to reprint them. Then there was Nick at the front doors , always with a smile , opening the door and hailing taxis for us! Thank you all for making our 28th wedding anniversary weekend a time to remember!

Just returned from a 6 day stay at The Quin and am already looking forward to the next trip back My best friend of 38 years and I were traveling for a combined business and 50th birthday celebration. At one point we had booked 4 different hotels because we couldn't decide and having travelled to NYC on numerous other trips, we were looking for a "special " hotel to make our 50th celebration a memorable one. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had picked the right hotel.Upon arrival, our bags were wisked into a beautiful lobby that smelled amazing and offered 2 cold bottles of water while we checked in. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and cheerful and even though we had booked a superior room with a king bed, we were thankful to be upgraded to a room with 2 queen beds.

From the time we entered our room the luxury was poured on. Everything had been lit to show off the room beautifully. Soothing music playing in the background and a pair of complimentary slippers place by each bed. The room itself is typical size for a NYC hotel but unlike many NYC hotels it was immaculate and beautifully appointed. Striking bathroom, luxury Frette linens and Fresh brand toiletries. An electronic "iPad" type device controls everything in the room with a touch of the finger: lighting, climate, music and window shades. Each room has a doorbell so when someone arrives they just ring. There is also an electronic board by the front door where you can post a "signal" for what you need. Press privacy please and the outside door room number is lit up in red. Need housecleaning services? Then the light is blue. ( there is also an option for turndown service and room service but we never used it).

During our entire stay, anytime we encountered hotel staff we were met with a smile and a greeting. Always 2 gentleman at the door to hold the door as we entered or exited and always welcoming us back. In acknowledgment of our 50th birthday, on the second might of our stay, the hotel sent up complimentary martins and a box of chocolate. This is a hotel that goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable!

Great location at 57th and 6th put us a block away from great shopping on 5th avenue and also close to Central Park. We were walking distance to Columbus Circle and also Bloomingdales. A subway stop is located righty across from the hotel. Duane Reade drug store across the street and a great all night grocery a few doors away. A number of great restaurants for both casual and fine dining close by. While our room didn't have much of a view we didn't mind because that was a trade off to facing possible noise on street side.

The environment created at the Quin is one of luxury but without the pretense.Without a doubt this is a hotel that will make your trip to NYC a memorable one.

Room Tip: Room with a courtyard view. It may be a crappy view but it's quiet.

Located at 57th and 6 avenue the hotel is at the centre of Manhattan. The reception area is modern and attractive with a seating area and a small more lounge like area. The reception staff is helpful and accommodating.

The room we were in at first was really very small, so small that it was even hard to get all the suitcases stored. As this was sold by the travel agent as a "family room" (in fact what it was is just a room with two queen beds) this was rather disappointing. With two parents and two daughters of 17 and 20, this was hardly comfortable. The beds are good, the interior is contemporary and with all kinds of electronic gadgets, a coffee machine, yet non dimmable lights (too bright in fact) but not overwhelmingly attractive. After asking the reception to get us in a more spacious room we were moved to the 16th floor, with indeed a somewhat more spacious room with at least also a view (the other room basically had no view unless looking at an ugly inner place with almost no light can be called a "view"(it's not). The new room also had a chair and overall a bit more space and therefore more convenient.

I am not sure yet whether this is the hotel of my choice for future stays in NYC, but in all fairness to the Quin, it's not easy to find a hotel that meets all the requirements I like to have for a really nice, attractive more than average ("good") hotel in New York. Most hotels I stayed in in NY are either way overpriced and unbalanced when it comes to value and money, some are flat-out dull, old fashioned or noisy. In that respect Quin does well, but the small space of the rooms make it not a favorite for me.

Room Tip: try to get a more spacious room

Had a great experience at The Quin, though it was only a one night stay the hotel was great! The staff was exceptionally friendly the room was very clean it is an older building recently renovated which is typical of NYC the reno's are great very modern.. The shower was awesome good water pressure spacious they also had rooms with 2 queen beds which is hard to find in NY... The only issue we had (and when I say issue it was almost a none issue) was the hall ways were extremely hot and humid I don't think they air condition them at all a friend I was travelling with is asthmatic and had a hard time breathing in transit to and from the room.. Other than that a gem for the price!

Our stay at this hotel was very nice. Perfect location, contemporary design, the Front Desk and the Attache (Concierge) were excellent. The rooms were a little small small, and the carpets weren't clean.

Great boutique hotel. We only stayed one night so we did not have the chance to use all this place has to offer. The corner suite is worth the light & view. Bartenders were very cool. We will def. return for a longer stay!
