“Loved the food and the atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

Had a short ten minute wait for a table. Creative menu, flavoursome food with generous portions. Not inexpensive but worth the money with excellent food and service. Welcoming and friendly. One of our favourite New York restaurants. A great end to a walking tour of Greenwich Village.

“Good Food, and a lot of Hype”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

I'd been hearing what an amazing place this was...a creative take on Chinese dishes, great flavors, etc. People waiting all the time for table made it look like it was worth the hype.
I ate here with a friend, and though the food was very good, it did not "wow" me the way I was expecting. Still worth a meal here. Better earlier when you can get a table (by 630 pm on weekdays).

“Worth the wait!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

If one is lucky, the wait is bearable, otherwise good luck with your first date! The food is worth the wait; Shu Mai Shooters, Pastrami Egg Rolls, Soup Dumplings, Crispy Duck.Crab Dumplings are a super start. We continued with Black Cod, Lamb, Roast Duck, Rice Noodles and Fried Rice. All very well prepared und nicely presented. The house made Ginger Ale was very good too. The place is crowded but the service is nice and gentle.

“Best Chinese we've had”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013 via mobile

The English don't do good Chinese very well outside of central London so we're used to avoiding it most of the time! As visitors to NYC on Christmas Day we read up and discovered a lot of people go for Chinese and a movie, so we did too! After much research we decided red farm was our top choice but they don't take bookings and often had queues out the door! After emailing Ed back and forth I felt comfortable that we wouldn't go hungry on Christmas Day! Come the day there was a little but of faff with getting our name on the waiting list but it all worked out eventually! Food was simply divine. If you eat nothing else then eat the soup dumplings, they're the most wonderful thing! If you haven't had them before then take their offer of advice on how to eat, it is required!!!! Pac man dumpling were so cool and tasty, pork belly & crispy beef starters were pretty perfect, roast duck with rice noodle rolls was also spot on! We got chatting to locals next to us and they recommended the pastrami egg rolls so we had them for desert over something sweet - pleased we did, they were great. Cocktails were original and very nice. Go here. It's very very good.
