I am so glad we included Ground Zero in our trip to New York.
From the outset everything was very well organised. The queue moved quickly and the many security checks were efficeiently handled and very necessary.
On entering Ground Zero building work is continuous the area is huge. The pools are excellent monuments of rememberance for those who lost their lives.
We went to pay our respects and show solidarity, it was a very moving experience and, anyone who is in NY should go. It is only when you are in NY that you can really appreicate the magnitude of that day. It is a good lesson for the children that visit as they are our future and watching news events on TV does not always seem real.
All said, it is a place of rememberance, hope, and a humbling experience.
