“Really?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

Spoiler alert: the winning joke is "I've got maggots in my scrotum". If you love South Park, rank humor (long running joke about trying to f*** the baby to try to get rid of AIDS; solved with a frog) and the thrill of the F-word said on a Broadway stage, then go for it. There is shock value, and the singing and dancing (one number all about dysentery -- "shitting in the water, drinking the water") are very well done even if the content is just plain stupid. I am not religious, so that part wasn't offensive or compelling -- sort of an interesting context -- but the rank language and bathroom humor as entertainment value on their own...eh, don't get it. But I realize that we are a very small minority, given the rave reviews and Tony awards.

“Not for the prissy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

Absolutely hilarious!!!!!!!
A journey of young Mormon men - fresh out of training centre. Paired with their companion and given their posting.
Irreverent and hysterical! I've seen many many live shows and this was amongst the best.
If swearing upsets you, this is not the show for you - but please take it in context as it is too clever and funny to miss

“stranger than you think”

Was not expecting that, some of the material will be difficult to explain to the children. At least they didn't ask.

“OMG”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

What a hoot. No wonder they call it the Musical of the Century. It is.

Not for the easily offended or up-tight religious zealots. Saw 6 great plays & this was the overthetop funniest. Worth the price of admission.

“Worth a trip to New York.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2013

This was hands down my favourite experience during our recent trip to New York. This show is not for the religiously sensitive nor the easily offended. Having said that, I haven't laughed this hard in a long time and I haven't ever enjoyed a show as much as this. I was familiar with the music and the premise as it has intrigued me from the get go and the live show added more to the story than I could have imagined. I'm currently trying to justify another trip to new york so I can watch it again. This show is a brilliant mix of great music, intelligence, wit and comedic timing. Spend the extra money and get good seats and then just sit back and enjoy the talent.
