“It is the Ritz Carlton afterall”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

This hotel is centrally located, across from Central Park and down the street from the Plaza and all the shops on 5th avenue.Every single employee in the hotel made our stay perfect. Our room was really nice, a spacious bathroom, and tub and shower separate. It was our anniversary and it was casually mentioned when we checked in.Cookies and chocolates with a candy number of the years married arrived in our room. I love this hotel and it lives up to it’s reputation.

The Ritz is a classic, quiet, small hotel overlooking Central Park.

It has the eccentricities of older properties -- the bathrooms have multiple shower / tub combinations, and rarely are two rooms the same. I like this. The lobby has the feeling of a London club.

It is comfortably furnished, and well located if your business or pleasure is mid-town.

The Ritz is located on West 59th Street right on Central Park. I called up and reserved afternoon tea for two a few weeks in advance thinking that I’d need a reservation to avoid disappointment, it turns out they’re not that busy on a Tuesday afternoon in October. We were given a lovely table, excellent service and a wonderful selection of savoury and sweet horderves, scones and plenty of tea. We also opted for a glass of champagne each to toast our trip to NY and can confirm that the Ritz was certainly well worth a visit and fairly reasonably priced.

the ritz is a phenomenal place to have drinks, just a stones throw from central park, it has so many things to do in and around the hotel, take a nice horse drawn carriage ride around the 'park
go shopping on 5th ave, fao Schwartz for christmas shopping. if you can't think of anything to do, go to the concierge and they will give you great ideas where to go and do.

Every year I take my mother & a friend to NY the first week of December. And we always stay at the Ritz Central Park location. We get a room with two queen beds and Club level access. The Club is fabulous! Lazar & George can't do enough for you. And the concierge will make dinner reservations.
We love the location because it is so easy to walk down 5th Ave for shopping or to check out the fabulous holiday window displays. And it convenient to Time Square to see all your Broadway shows.

This isn't as much a review as it is a thank you. We spent one night at the Ritz to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and it turned out to be a more magical experience than we ever could have imagined.

We booked the stay using Marriott points, which means we weren't even paying actual cash for the room. Nonetheless, when the staff learned of our occasion, they went so far above and beyond to make it something I know neither of us will forget.

Though my elite status at Marriott entitled us to very little at the Ritz, we were upgraded to a beautiful room overlooking Central Park and gifted club access, which was extraordinary. We enjoyed a wonderful tea service in the afternoon and breakfast the next morning.

On the request of the hotel manager, I had passed along some information about our wedding and my wife before arriving. When we walked into the room, our wedding song was playing, and a picture from that night was framed and left on the bedside table. When we returned at night, white rose petals were laid on the bed in the shape of a heart.

We couldn't have imagined anything close to what we received. Thank you to everybody involved.
