All we needed from an hotel, very good location, clean, with breakfast ( alittle bit too small, but enough), Excellent service from the staff. If you get a front room you can see The Empire State just outside your window... what else do you need in Manhattan?

As long as you don't forget to ask for a non-smoking room opposite to the street, it is a very good hotel. The door of the room isn't very "thick" though because you easily hear the drink-fridge or people talkings in the corridor our even laughing in their rooms, it is most of the time very quiet.
The intendents are very kind, always ready to help.
The breakfast room is a bit small at rush times, but plenty to eat!
Very good hotel to stay for a week or more, we recommend.

Was booked to stay 26/10 - 28/10 but had to extend stay until 31/10 due to Sandy storm . Allowed to stay in same room at same promotional rates! Big bed, fridge, microwave, tv all handy when we had to stay in during the storm. Free hot chocolate machine on upper ground floor. Free wifi everywhere not just the lobby area - this proved to be so important when rebooking flights, travel plans and keeping family and friends updated via Facebook. For anyone sitting TOEFL exam this is a few blocks from the Penn plaza building. Shopping a few minutes walk from Maceys, Victoria secrets and a great Korean deli restaurant opposite Maceys & bank of America - cheap, hot , good quality food! I didn't enjoy the free breakfast at the hotel - try Europa Cafe not far from Penn station - breakfast less than $10. Martinique cafe - a rip off avoid!!!

My friend and I stayed here for three nights during a weekend trip to NYC. We seemed to be the only Americans staying there, I have a hunch they advertise more to foreign travelers. But that didn't bother us a bit, I enjoyed the cosmopolitan surroundings. This place was great! Loved the location - in the heart of little Korea with lots of terrific Asian food and bakeries around us, just one block from one of the biggest subway stations and a few blocks from Time Square, and our room view was of the Empire State building, how can you beat that? Even though the hotel offers a wonderful breakfast (hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, bagels and pastries, cereal, juice, coffee) we stopped for fresh chocolate croissants right next door every morning. The price was about as cheap as you can get for the location, for a very clean and comfortable room in the heart of the city. And the beds, honestly I haven't slept that good in ages! So comfortable, just the right mix of softness and firmness. Room size was small, but adequate. We weren't fond of the bathroom doors however, they had glass inlay doors that allowed light to pass through to the rest of the room, which wasn't great if someone had to get up in the middle of the night. But that was my only complaint. Highly recommended hotel, especially if you are traveling on a budget and still want a nice room in a good location.
