“Perfect for the Walkers!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

We loved the location!! The hotel staff was professional & courteous. We had a great room on the 8th floor facing the NY Public Library. The morning breakfasts were perfect with fresh rolls, bagels, cereals & fruits. They have a great coffee machine for any kind you desire! This was a perfect location for walking the city! We would definately return.

Room Tip: Room facing the Library!

I had been told that this was a great hotel, but it exceeded my expectations. Particularly appreciated the friendliness and 'can do' attitude of the staff, from bellman, to front desk, to help in the dining area. Definitely recommend it!

The Library Hotel is right around the corner from Grand Central Terminal making our visit to New York very convenient, and getting around town easy too. Upon arrival to the hotel, the staff was so very helpful and friendly. They worked hard to get us into a room early and even left a nice surprise for my daughter when they found out it was her birthday.

The room was modern, super clean, quiet, and comfortable. As a bonus, the second floor reading room is a great retreat. They offer a complimentary breakfast, and a wine and cheese reception. Again, the service was outstanding. The staff quickly refilled my plate with cheese, and my glass with wine even though I arrived late.

I highly recommend this great boutique hotel and can't wait to return myself.

Room Tip: Take the S subway from Grand Central to Times Square. It's a straight shot to the center of Tim...

1st stay at the Library and I can't wait to go back. A queen room is plenty big for two. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Great location, safe and within walking distance to everything. Staff was friendly and helpful. Daily breakfast was an unexpected bonus. After a long day of sightseeing it was nice to relax in the reading room with a glass of wine, cheese, and fruit. This hotel exceeded my expectations.

Room Tip: I had read reviews that suggested higher level rooms to avoid traffic noise. We stayed on the 7th fl...

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend on our honeymoon. The hotel and staff were all amazing. We had a lovely room with an amazing view of the New York Public Library and up and down Madison Ave. The room and facilities were clean and very well maintained. The breakfast, wine and cheese reception and rooftop were all great. And the library theme was a great touch. We were in the Astronomy room and it was filled with great books. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We were delighted with our stay at the Library Hotel. From walking in the door and meeting Jessica at the front desk, until departure after a great complimentary breakfast. Jessica was most helpful in getting us the info for all our destinations, from food to museums. Our room was refreshingly well air conditioned under extreme heat outside. The happy hour, while brief for us as we were on our way out, was elegant. All the staff here are fabulous but the 2nd floor staff in the common room were even more gracious. I was surprised to see nobody leaving a small tip on the table but that may be the many different cultures that stay here. Then we topped it off with their roof top bar. Lovely. We will always try to stay here in the future.

Room Tip: For 2 people, I suggest you upgrade to the queen or king size room. We faced the side street and it...

Very nice room, though small, the facilities are well maintained. Enjoyed the choice of books and the several places to relax. Friendly, helpful staff. One of the best continental breakfasts I have had anywhere. Was pleasantly surprised to find umbrella, bathrobe and slippers in the closet. Even the candy with the turn down service had a library message.
