“Excellent Location - small rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW via mobile

The front desk was very polite and helpful. Everyone else on the staff went beyond the call of duty. The rooms are small, not for more than 2. The bed and linens were nice. The bathroom had no tub and was small as well. Everything was very comfortable even though it was small. The lobby level courtyard was a great meeting and relaxing place. The bar area was great as well. Lots of seating with a nice atmosphere. I would stay here again simply due to the great service I was given by every member I encountered from the staff. The rooms here are for sleeping and showing, that's it. Hey - it's NYC, get out and explore the city. Due to the price I paid, I give this place 5 stars.

Public areas are very nice, lots of warm brick, stone floors, great terraces. Nice bar and a small restaurant. Check in was painless, location is just two nice blocks off of Central Park. Rooms are very small, good for two people, but not if you have even one kid with you, though they are attractive and clean. The price ($179 in mid July) was also quite good!!

I spent 3 days during my trip through New York. The hotel is well located just next to the Central Park and through The Broadway, you can simply reach Empire State Building by foot. If you like walking, you can even go to lower Manhattan but it is quite far. Anyway the metro line is also really close to the hotel. My single room was very small but including comfortable bed and shower, there was no cabinet. I have not spent too much time inside, but just for sleaping it is perfect. The room was well cleaned every day. The staff was very kind and helpful. Two free drinks were in my reservation.

This hotel is chic and hip. Yes the rooms are small but if you get the next size up you should be fine. All hotel rooms in NYC are small. Had the amenities for a night owl and a block from central park. We loved it. Downer no microwave so don't bring leftovers to your room.

Great hotel, and yes the rooms are a little small but its New York.

The standard room has plenty of room for a couple with two large cases. Great hi def TV and shower was warm and powerful. Air con is a little noisy and ask for a room higher up as ours was right beside the hotels extractor units (very noisy)

Hotel has a fantastic sky terrace open during the day (until 8pm) and serving drinks up to 8pm Tuesday - Saturday.

Hotel is very close to Columbus circle which has great subway connections (15mins to south ferry - Staten island ferry etc) Note that the machines to buy tickets for the Subway only give a max change of $8 for single ride tickets so take change.

There is also a massive whole foods supermarket with great selection of food for a picnic in Central Park (5 mins walk from hotel for both supermarket and Central Park)

If you are looking for a well finished practical centrally located hotel then look no further than this one.

they will also store your luggage and if you no longer have access to a room they have cool little pods to pack before you head home.

p.s The Flame Restaurant and Mornings Star diners nearby are great for breakfast

Nice looking hotel with nice bars and great feel. Rooms are ridiculously small, we had a deluxe room and it was still like a panic room, however this is New York and we weren't in it much!

Decorated nicely but tatty around the edges and dirty in some places if you cared to look.

Charged us on check in for 2 drinks to our room without telling us that we never even had... Bit of a damn cheek and shouldn't really be allowed to happen.

Comfy bed though and high up enough to not be bothered by then street noise.

Would stay again as was fairly cheap for 3 days, £400.

Single worst NYC hotel experience ever. There is a disco BLARING and people shouting from the patio until 10pm. They give you earplugs to accommodate, which means no phone/TV. Terrible stay and service.
