“Nicely located, although quite some street sounds (still NYC)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2014

I stayed here for three nights with a good friend. We had one of the Cityview upper floor rooms, which was quite spacious with two very comfortable beds. Although we were on the 13th floor there was quite some street noise. The fact that the window did not close properly probably contributed to that.
Location is excellent though: you can walk to a lot of different neighborhoods from there like Soho, Little Italy, Chinatown, Nolita and the Subway is around the corner.
Would definitely consider staying here again if the price is right.

Spent 5 nights during our first trip to NYC. Close to metro, Soho shopping and different eating facilities. As "walkers" we walked from here all the way up to Empire State Building (34th Street) and all the way south to the Battery Park. Close to the lively neighborhoods Chinatown and Little Italy. As "noisy" as any Manhattan hotel without soundproof/absorbing windows (sirens, honking, general traffic). The hotel had rather slow WIFI, wall-to-wall carpets(!!), loud A/C, partly broken curtains/blinds, though tidy rooms, comfy beds and very friendly staff.

Room Tip: The *ding* from the elevator could get annoying if you're not a heavy sleeper

We had a wonderful stay at Holiday Inn Soho, thanks largely to Marianela Gutierrez, Operations Manager. She was very, very friendly, professional and attentive to several special requests and needs that we had. Thanks largely to her efforts, and to those of the staff she supervises, we had a truly delightful stay and can't wait to go back again soon. We recommend this property highly!

Room Tip: Call ahead if you have any special requests. The subway appears to run under the hotel, and so we r...

Stayed at this Hotel for 5 nights in May for my daughter's NYU graduation. Excellent location, as it is within walking distance to China Town, Little Italy, So Ho, Greenwich, Union Square, and subway. We arrived before noon and our room was available. That particular room was on a lower level with no view of the city. We took our 13 year old daughter (her first time) and wanted her to be impressed with the views of NYC. We went back to the lobby, and kindly asked if another room was available with city views. Lisa was very kind and said she would be able to accommodate us, and asked us to return after 3:00. Once we returned, Lisa greeted us again and had upgraded us to a spacious room on the 12th floor with a great view of the city! Everyone from housekeeping to the bartenders were friendly and helpful. I would definitely return and recommend this hotel!

We checked in on June 7th and stayed til the 11 th. We love this hotel. The staff was supper friendly. Yvonne and the man working with her at the front desk when we checked in( can't remember his name. He helped explain the subway to us). The gentleman working concierge (can't remember his name. He had a beard, and asked me how my kids were everyday), all deserve props for being so friendly and helpful!!!! Also housekeeping were so sweet as well. The beds and pillows were seriously the most comfortable!!!! Great location great price. Would definately stay here again.

Room Tip: Maybe ask for a high floor is the subway rumble below bothers you.

First off - it is a Holiday Inn and you're not going to feel magically transported to the Marriott - and there are no luxury soaps hand crafted in exotic places. But this place is a great value. Clean rooms, ample bedding, spacious for NYC, and a spectacular location. Subway right around the corner, on the doorstep of China town and shopping for mom a block away on Broadway - all in all a fantastic find for a family stay in the city.

Room Tip: Skip the expensive Holiday Inn breakfast, there's a Dunkin Doughnuts across the street - that...
